The Sandakphu trek follows the magnificent Singalila Ridge and reaches Sandakphu, the highest point peak of West Bengal, perched at a height of 11,926 ft. It is home to beautiful Alpine vegetation like the ever-present rhododendrons, towering trees of fir, birch, and even bamboo. The temperature at Sandakphu varies from -11 degrees during winter nights to 22 degrees during the days in summers! The weather varies from season to season. Summers remain pleasant and cool, due to the high altitude, while the winters can get really cold. Monsoons arrive in June in the Sandakphu region.
