One of the biggest announcements at D2R Items 2022, Respawn and EA confirmed that Jedi: Survivor was real and was released in 2023. Even as fans are trying to figure out their thoughts about the initial teaser trailer for the game, Monaghan and himself have discussed his opinion regarding the title.

On Twitter following the announcement that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was formally revealed, Monaghan said that the game is one that has been in development since a long time at this stage. While he didn’t say much about what the story of Jedi: Survivor will focus on, he did talk to what it’s like thematically particularly when compared with Fallen Order.

“I enjoy watching stories develop through their characters and their audience. I’m excited to showcase the work Lucasfilm, Respawn, EA and I have been working with over in the past few years,” Monaghan said on social media. “I’m proud to say Jedi: Survivor is a complex fun, mature and thrilling development for an ambitious, challenging game. “In general terms, it’s quite interesting to learn that the subject to be discussed in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is likely to be darker in comparison to Fallen Order.
