The biggest issue for the WoTLK Classic Gold WoW team of developers, other beyond physically moving equipment from the office, has been finding a way to retain the spirit of cooperation that exists in workplaces, Hazzikostas said.

“The most important thing we lost was a great deal of informal discussions, which is where the creative brainstorming happens. The literal hallways conversations–bouncing an idea off someone. Then, if you’re passing by, sketching something on a whiteboard to get some quick feedback from the person who happened to be at their desk,” Hazzikostas said. “Those aren’t activities you can easily schedule or record on a Slack chat or something similar. So it’s taken extra effort. We believe that there are processes in the process of being implemented one of which is making general jam spaces where people can chat and hang out with the other people there.”

Hazzikostas said that the Blizzard teams have been working hard to establish an environment of connecting developers in order to create the same feeling as dropping by someone’s desk to hash ideas.

“Just by contacting them via our internal software and see how they’re doing , and if they’re willing to hear a fascinating idea , and feel like it’s not intrusive , do it similar to how you’d shy away from peeking into the office of someone if you were all there in person,” he said. “It’s been an amazing learning process, and I’m so pleased with what the team has been able to accomplish so far. We’re on track for extremely likely and historically, complete and publish this game, Shadowlands, from our home.”

Hazzikostas was then quoted as saying that he’s extremely interested in seeing how work will be affected by the impact of COVID-19. “It’ll be fascinating to observe how this will in the wake of the lessons learned can permanently alter the nature of meetings and collaborative culture and people’s pre-conceptions of what’s needed and how you could best communicate cheap WOW WoTLK Classic Gold the information” Hazzikostas explained.
