Spirit & Squirt Horse Rescue was born from a deep love and respect for horses, driven by the founders’ desire to offer a safe place for horses who have been neglected, mistreated, or abandoned. Named after two of our first rescues—Spirit, a noble horse who overcame incredible challenges, and Squirt, a small but mighty horse with a big heart—our sanctuary stands as a testament to their strength and spirit. Through our *Adopt A Horse* program, we work to rehabilitate and rehome horses, matching them with loving families, while also providing a peaceful retirement for those in their golden years. With the help of passionate volunteers, donors, and supporters, we’ve grown into one of Texas’s top horse rescue organizations, committed to offering these magnificent creatures a second chance at life and a future full of love and care.
