It’s all about how you view the game. There’s no one right or wrong way to play it. Are there more effective method of playing? Yes, but for certain players the less efficient approach is more enjoyable and the reverse is true. It is essential to find the optimal balance between having fun while making your goals being fulfilled.

When it comes to the slayer, maybe it’s not for you. Some skills will be your favorites, while others will not be, and I would say there is a very very small percentage of players that find each and every skill of the game equally enjoyable. This is the great thing about the game. Find things that you like take on, practice them, and continue doing them.

My advice to early game players is to research strategies, discover the techniques you enjoy and establish a goal. Each time I’ve started a new account, I have always begun the account with the goal of writing as numerous diaries as fast as I can. It’s a fantastic way to advance your game, learn new things in game, and more importantly, get to know the game. It also has a pre-set target that the game’s developers have set for us.

Hope this helps, but I don’t think you should give up, I believe you need to recognize that certain things aren’t right for you And just because it’s not the most efficient way to approach anything doesn’t mean it’s wrong method! Take your time, my friend!

Never thought about OSRS players obsession with MTX. People grind for various things on this site, and they’re high kc on bosses or clues titles, collection logs, pets, money. It’s all an obstacle to getting to those things, and that is true for OSRS too. The 30k XP that you receive from your daily keys is nothing compared to 500k/hour or more.
