The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is a network of national standards institutes from over 157 countries working in partnership with international organizations, governments, industry sectors, businesses, and consumer representatives. Together, they develop and publish International Standards for products, services, and good practices. This development process promotes worldwide compatibility and interoperability in transactions involving products, services, and processes. ISO certification is awarded by third-party certification bodies to organizations that demonstrate compliance with the ISO Standards.
