1. Explain to your child why they’re going to see the speech therapist.

2. Remind your child that the speech therapist is there to help.

3. Reassure your child that it’s ok to make mistakes or not understand something.

4. Make sure your child knows that the speech therapist is their ally.

5. Talk to your child about the type of activities they might do with the speech therapist.
