The first game in Scott Cawthon’s independent point-and-click survival horror series is titled Five Nights at Freddy’s. On August 8, 2014, it was initially made accessible on Desura (though it was later taken down at an undisclosed time), then on August 18, it was made available on Steam. By following their movements using the restaurant’s surveillance cameras, the player manages to live five nights at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza without being discovered, put into a mascot costume, or killed by the animatronic characters. The fourth game in the series, it is set in the same time period as Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 and the predecessor to Five Nights at Freddy’s 3.
