Galvalume steel is continuously hot-dipped with aluminum and zinc alloys to protect the metal from rust. The coating consists of 55% aluminum, 43.4% zinc and 1.6% silicon. Due to this composition, it is highly effective in protecting other base metals from corrosion and rust. The service life of GL steel is more than 50 years under normal conditions.
The surface of the galvalume steel is smooth, silver-white in color, and with uniform spangles. Compared to galvanized steel coil, its spangles are more even. The beautiful appearance makes it can be used directly in many applications without decoration.
