Selecting a suitable genomic site for the integration of transgene is a key step in B cell engineering. Genomic safe harbor (GSH) loci are well-known safe integration sites without negative effects on the host cell. Therefore, transgenes usually are designed to insert into GSH sites, further improving the safety and efficiency of gene therapy.
