This phase is all about getting rid of water and drying out the house so that it doesn’t get mouldy or rusty again. People’s things will be taken out of the inside of the building. Damaged drywall, flooring, and other things will be taken down to the studs if they need to be. Crews will use commercial equipment to dry out the building. During this phase, the roof tarps will be kept up to keep water from getting in.
