India coach Rahul Dravid has defended Shubman Gill amidst his indifferent run during the ongoing West Indies tour.

The year 2023 has been particularly noteworthy for Gill. He started the year in top form, scoring hundreds in all formats, including a double hundred in the ODI format.

His exceptional performance continued into the IPL 2023 season, where he emerged as the winner of the Orange Cap for scoring the most runs in the tournament – a whopping 890 runs in 17 matches.

This feat solidified his position as a first-choice pick in all three formats of the sport.
