While taking a Modalert 200 mg tablet, your physician may advise you to have an ECG. (ECG). Your heart rate  and other vital signs will be tracked in addition to a 200 mg dose of modafinil. If you recently had a heart attack, arrhythmias (irregular heartbeats), uncontrolled or moderate-to-high blood pressure, or any of the other conditions listed above, you shouldn’t take modafinil in the 200 mg dosage.

Modafinil 200 mg capsules shouldn’t be taken by anyone with liver or renal disease, alcoholism, bipolar disorder, psychosis, mania, low mood, depression, anxiety, or a history of using illicit drugs.
