Intagra 100 is a prescription medication commonly used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. The active ingredient in Intagra 100 is sildenafil citrate , which belongs to a class of drugs known as phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. Intagra 100 is available in tablet form, typically in a strength of 100 milligrams (mg). The recommended starting dose for most men is 50 mg, taken as needed approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour before physical activity. Intagra 100 is contraindicated in individuals who are allergic to sildenafil or any of the other ingredients in the medication. It should not be used concurrently with nitrates, such as nitroglycerin, as this combination can cause a sudden and significant drop in blood pressure. Patients with certain cardiovascular conditions, liver or kidney impairment, or a history of stroke or heart attack should use Intagra 100 with caution and under medical supervision. Common side effects of Intagra 100 may include headache, facial flushing, indigestion, nasal congestion, and visual disturbances such as blurred vision or changes in color perception.
