Digital HD editions of World of Warcraft release on September 13. If you’d like to wait for a physical copy with lots of other features, you’ll have to hold on WoTLK Gold until September 27 when releases of the Blu-ray and DVD, and 4K versions go on sale.

The Blu-ray version is packed with a slew of exclusives, including a motion comic as well as a multi-part documentary on making World of Warcraft to film and a featurette focusing on wax World of Warcraft figures, and the teaser that was shown at San Diego Comic-Con in 2013.

The motion comic tells an action-packed story that centers around Prince Llane, Captain Lothar in addition to Guardian Medivh. The documentary however, covers everything from the casting and stunts to Mocap and the visual effects.

In addition, both the Blu-ray and DVD versions include deleted scenes, a gag reel, an origin story, a section about World of Warcraft ‘s fandom, and a look at the visual effects and facial capture technology.

One thing that isn’t listed in the Blu-ray/DVD offerings is the extended edition which was made in the tweets of director Duncan Jones back in May. Jones stated via Twitter that there would “be no extended cut in the event that the theatrical version does very well.” World of Warcraft didn’t perform impressively on the screens of WOW WoTLK Classic Gold North America, but it did surprisingly well in China in fact, beating Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
