These were highly regarded prospects battling to be considered the top. This is a crop of good prospects, and no one knows which has the best potential to be successful.

The week before, Bill Barnwell of ESPN discussed how in the lottery-like draft “the smartest approach is to have greater numbers of tickets.” The RG3 deal was possibly the best illustration of that ever, and the winners from the trade appear to be ignoring the principle.
